Imagine hinging the future of a province on the efforts of natural gas drilling crews.... In February 2013, BC Premier Christy Clark announced that her government would create a "Prosperity Fund" with the royalties from the bonanza in the natural gas industry. According to Premier Clark, this fund would eliminate the province's 56 billion dollar debt by 2027. Sounds great, doesn't it? Perhaps... Former Independent Cariboo MLA Bob Simpson was among them.
